Dudley Edmondson is a nature advocate, author, photographer, and public speaker. In this episode of the Night Sky Tourist podcast, we discuss the importance of getting kids outdoors and the impact that time in nature can have in their lives. We also tackle the subject of inequity of access to nature for urban youth and children of color.
Dudley lives in Duluth, Minnesota where he meets regularly with other African American men to discuss their daily challenges, encourage one another, and spend time in nature together.
He has also visited communities across America where he advocates for giving more African American children experiences in nature.
We learn about a planet that rains diamonds in our Q&A segment with NASA Solar System Ambassador Ted Blank. And we finish off with a fun tour across the night sky.
