While many people stampede through crowded stores on Black Friday, some of us will #OptOutside instead. Join us for an early morning hike to greet the Sonoran Desert sunrise over Four Peaks. Instead of watching people spill through retail store doors, we’ll watch the morning light spill across the saguaros, mountain peaks, and ridgelines, experiencing the profound quiet that only comes in the early hours outdoors.

Our trail is approximately two miles round-trip on uneven desert terrain with rocks and natural obstacles requiring steady footing. The cumulative elevation gain is 180 feet. Suitable for ages 12 and up with good mobility and fitness for desert hiking.

Bring plenty of water, wear sturdy closed-toe hiking shoes, and dress in layers for the cool morning air. The sky will be getting light, so flashlights are not necessary. We will hike even if it’s cloudy.
